Spence supplied Yann Bisseck on the edge of the area in the eighth minute. The defender turned onto his left foot and curled a low finish into the far corner, giving Inter an early reward for their pressure.
Feyenoord's clearest response came through Anis Hadj Moussa, but Josep Martínez kept his effort out. Spence was involved again as Inter doubled their lead, with Pio Esposito heading home from close range in the 34th minute.
Piotr Zieliński ended any prospect of a comeback nine minutes into the second half, driving a left-footed shot into the bottom corner after Nicolò Barella's pass. Feyenoord had 53 per cent possession but managed only two shots on target against Inter's six. Inter left Rotterdam with six points, while Feyenoord remained on three after four matches.
