Paris Saint-Germain overwhelmed Villarreal with four goals in the opening 17 minutes, turning their attacking pressure into a lead the hosts could never recover. Fabián Ruiz added a second after the break before substitute David Boly completed a 6-0 victory.

João Neves opened the scoring from a corner in the ninth minute, and Villarreal had little time to organise themselves before Désiré Doué doubled the advantage three minutes later. Senny Mayulu struck almost immediately afterwards, while Maghnes Akliouche supplied Ruiz for the fourth. Four goals had arrived before the contest reached its 17th minute, leaving Villarreal with a problem that extended beyond the scoreline.

The hosts never found a sustained answer. Ayoze Pérez did force Matvei Safonov into a save before half-time, but PSG remained in control of the match. Five minutes after the restart, Ruiz collected Vitinha's delivery and finished to complete his brace, removing any remaining doubt about the outcome.

Luis Enrique's side continued to find openings even as the game moved towards its conclusion. Neves turned provider in the 78th minute, releasing substitute David Boly to score his first Champions League goal. PSG finished with six, having made the decisive difference long before the final goal arrived.

The victory gives PSG four wins from four in the league phase and takes them to 12 points. Villarreal remain on three after four matches, with their defensive response to sustained pressure now a pressing concern as they continue their European campaign.
