Bayern lost Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry to injuries in the first half. Dortmund thought they had scored through Jobe Bellingham, but the goal was ruled out after a review for a foul on Jonas Urbig.

Minutes later Konrad Laimer raced clear and beat Gregor Kobel one on one at the second attempt.

Kane's penalty came in the 56th minute and went against the crossbar. Four minutes later Serhou Guirassy took Carney Chukwuemeka's pass in the area, controlled it and scored. Kane made amends in the 66th minute, heading a cross into the path of Dayot Upamecano, who put Bayern back in front.

Bayern held that lead until the 89th minute, when Konstantinos Karetsas, on as a substitute, set up Fábio Silva, another replacement, and he found the bottom corner.

Neither side has lost in the league this season. Bayern go to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday and Dortmund are at home to Real Betis on Wednesday, and the injuries to Saibari and Gnabry are Aaron Danks's first concern.
