- Manchester United v Aston Villa
- Kick-off: 2026-11-08 16:30 UTC
- Ground: Old Trafford
- Status: Full time
- Score: Manchester United 4 – 4 Aston Villa
- Full time: Alysson 1′ · Nicolas Jackson 4′ · Bruno Fernandes 16′ (penalty) · Youri Tielemans 44′ · John McGinn 48′ (penalty) · Leon Goretzka 53′ · Joshua Zirkzee 90+2′ · Patrick Dorgu 90+6′

Aston Villa scored four times at Old Trafford, and each goal came from a Manchester United mistake. Senne Lammens let Alysson's shot through his legs in the first minute and pushed the next one into the path of Nicolas Jackson; Diogo Dalot's tackle on Alysson gave John McGinn a penalty; Leny Yoro's header from a free kick came back off his own bar for Leon Goretzka to score from close range. Manchester United drew 4-4 because two players who started on the bench scored in stoppage time.

The first two came inside four minutes, the earliest United have been two goals down in a Premier League match. They were level by half-time: Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty in the 16th minute after Boubacar Kamara fouled Matheus Cunha, and Youri Tielemans, against his former club, finished Noussair Mazraoui's pass in the 44th. Villa had their two-goal lead back eight minutes into the second half.

Michael Carrick sent on Patrick Dorgu, Mason Mount and Shea Lacey together in the 66th minute and Joshua Zirkzee in the 83rd. Mount hit the bar in the 89th. Then Dorgu, a doubt before the match, set up the third and scored the fourth: his cross was turned in by Zirkzee's left foot in the second minute of stoppage time, and in the sixth he headed in Fernandes's corner after Zion Suzuki failed to deal with it.

Unai Emery had lost all five of his visits to Old Trafford with Villa. The draw ends that run and extends the other one: six visits, no win, and this time he was two goals up in stoppage time. Villa are unbeaten in six league matches and tenth on 13 points.

Carrick takes into the international break a side that came back from two goals down twice in one match, after doing it once to beat Roma on Tuesday, and that gave Villa every goal it had to come back from. Anfield is next.
