Marseille's league revival has to travel to Leverkusen without Harit

Marseille have won four league matches in a row and lost all three in Europe. They go to Leverkusen without Amine Harit, against a side that has not conceded in this competition.

Amine Harit scored inside two minutes against Toulouse on Sunday, the latest of four straight league wins that have carried Marseille to sixth in Ligue 1. He will not play in Leverkusen. Bruno Genesio said Harit and Emerson were not ready and that he preferred not to take the risk.

Leverkusen should win and keep Marseille out, as they have kept out every side in this Europa League.

Himad Abdelli starts in Marseille's midfield with Amine Harit out, and Amine Gouiri leads the attack between Timothy Weah and Igor Paixão. Patrik Schick is alone up front for Leverkusen, with Lucas Vázquez, Jonas Hofmann and Ibrahim Maza behind him and Malik Tillman on the bench.

Europe has been a different competition for Marseille all season. They have no points from three matches and sit 34th, and away from home they have lost four of six this season and seven of their last ten.

Leverkusen have the opposite record in this Europa League: three wins, eight goals and not one conceded. Yet the BayArena has just let them down. Stuttgart won there 4-2 on Saturday, ending a run of five home wins, and Carles Martínez is without Martin Terrier, Christian Kofane, Eliesse Ben Seghir, Moussa Diaby and Guela Doué, which leaves Patrik Schick expected to lead the line alone.

Marseille's league run was built with Harit in it. Without him, on a ground where Leverkusen have just been beaten, it has to show it can travel.
