Daejeon Hana Citizen and Vissel Kobe meet in Daejeon with both unbeaten in the AFC Champions League Elite
Daejeon Hana Citizen, back in Asia's top club competition for the first time since 2003, meet a Vissel Kobe side that have won both of their league-phase games. Neither club has reported an absence, and neither line-up has been announced.

Round 3 of the ACLE East league phase brings together two sides still unbeaten in the competition. Daejeon are making their first appearance in Asia's top club tournament since 2003, while Kobe reached the semi-finals of the 2025-26 edition and qualified for this season as J1 100 Year Vision League champions.
Between a Daejeon side newly returned to Asia's elite and a Kobe defence that has barely been breached in this competition, the Japanese visitors hold no more than the faintest edge over a draw or a home win, in a tight, sparse contest where goals should be scarce and a clean sheet looks likely.
No absences have been reported for either side, and both line-ups are yet to be announced. No pre-match comments from either manager were found. Sources differ on the kick-off time, with some giving 10:00 UTC and others 11:00 UTC.
Daejeon opened with a 1-0 home win over Kyoto Sanga, then came from behind to draw 1-1 at Chinese champions Shanghai Port; in between they also beat Jeonbuk in K League 1, where they sat 5th on 46 pts from 32 games before their trip to Gimcheon Sangmu. Kobe have 6 pts from 2 games in Asia, with 4 goals scored and 1 conceded, including a 2-0 win over Jeonbuk on 14 Oct. At home they lost 4-2 at Kashiwa Reysol, won 3-0 at Fagiano Okayama and drew 0-0 with Machida Zelvia on 24 Oct.
The clubs have never met in a competitive match. The only recorded meeting is a club friendly on 20 Jun 2008, which finished Daejeon 1-1 Vissel Kobe.
